In a first for London, space tourism company Excalibur Almaz will bring its twice-flown RRV spacecraft to the British capital as part of the RAeS 3rd European Space Tourism Conference. The Royal Aeronautical Society was honoured when HRH Lt Gen Abdulrahman bin Fahad Al-Faisal, Commander Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) visited the Society’s London headquarters, No 4 Hamilton Place.
The final presentations highlighted the contrast between the enormous potential for future wealth creation, exports and high-tech employment that could be generated in the UK aerospace sector with the warning that this could be put at risk if an incoming government ignored the need to adopt a more strategic investment agenda.
