Seattle Branch elects new Chairman

Pamela P. Valdez FRAeS has been elected to serve as chairman of the Seattle Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Ms. Valdez is director of Boeing’s KC-46A Tanker Support & Training Integrated Product Team.

Derby Branch Sir Henry Royce Lecture

The Derby Branch Sir Henry Royce Lecture will take place on the 28th June and will be delivered by Tony Tyler FRAeS, former head of Cathay Pacific and now Director General and CEO of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Air Law Summer Reception

Recently the Royal Aeronautical Society helped an experimental human-powered aircraft from BBC science TV show Bang Goes the Theory to take flight. Chairman of the RAeS Human Powered Aircraft group Bill Brooks explains the Society’s input.

RAeS Receives Paper Round Award for Recycling

The Royal Aeronautical Society recycled 7520 kg of paper between March 2011 and February 2012, saving the equivalent of 98 trees and 10500kg of CO2. Thank you to all staff and members for your significant contribution towards helping the environment. Keep up the good work!
