RAeS Welcomes the IFASD Scientific Committee to the home of Aerospace

The International Forum on Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics will be meet at the Royal Aeronautical Society on the 14 and 15 January to discuss and sculpt the accepted papers into a programme for IFASD2013.  Following on from the success of IFASD2011 held in Paris, the 2013 Forum will be run from the 24 – 27 June in Bristol, UK, the centre of the UK’s aerospace industry.

The Fourm has been running since 1981 and has become one of the leading european conferences for engineers and scientists working in the field of aeroelasticity and structural dynamics.  IFASD2013 will be organised by the Royal Aeronautical Society, in collaboration with the Council of European Aerospace Societies (CEAS) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

IFASD2013 will provide a comprehensive survey of the current status of research and development, and industrial practice, in the fields of Aerospace Vehicle Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics, Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimisation, and Active and Adaptive Structures.

The conference will offer an excellent opportunity for scientists and engineers from industry, government and universities to exchange knowledge and results of current studies, and to discuss directions for future research.
