Careers and Image Workshop August 2012

As part of the Careers and Image Workstream of the Aerospace and Defence Sector Skills Group (ADSSG), which reports on Skills issues to the Government’s Aerospace Growth Partnership, the Royal Aeronautical Society is running a workshop at its headquarters on the afternoon of Wednesday 15 August to bring together those from industry, the not-for-profit sector and other organisations involved in STEM and Careers/Employability activities directly related to aerospace.

The aim of the workshop is to pull together a list of all the different activities taking place in the UK, including where, target audience, impact numbers, rationale etc. as well as analyse the work currently being carried out for a report to the Aerospace Growth Partnership.

If you are involved in such activities, such as through your employer, as a STEMNET ambassador, as part of a charity or not-for-profit programme or as a partner/sponsor, we would very much welcome you and/or a representative to attend who can report on what your involvement and knowledge of this arena is, and help advise on key issues you are aware of and future needs. The workshop may appeal in particular to those from aerospace and defence employers including Engineering, Comms, Marketing, HR and CSR functions;  from not-for-profit organisations such as museums, charities, professional associations, universities and colleges and may also include educationalists and individuals running relevant programmes.

The workshop will begin at 14.00 and end at 16.30 and the programme includes a questionnaire, table debates on key questions prepared by the workshop organisers and a several opportunities for debate and discussion. It will also provide a unique networking opportunity for those in this field.

If you would like to attend, receive the programme or further information, please contact Rosalind Azouzi, Careers and Education Manager, rosalind.azouzi@aerosociety.com or call 07824 512941.
