Seattle Branch elects new Chairman

Pamela P. Valdez FRAeS has been elected to serve as chairman of the Seattle Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Ms. Valdez is director of Boeing’s KC-46A Tanker Support & Training Integrated Product Team.

Ms. Valdez is responsible for Logistics Engineering, ILS Planning, Sustainment Information System, Depot Operations, Technical Publications, Supply Support, Maintenance Engineering, Maintenance Operations, Support Equipment, Type 1 Pilot & Maintenance Training, and the Simulator Data Package for the USAF KC-46A Tanker. Ms. Valdez‘ previous Boeing programmes include F-22 Sustainment, E-6 TACAMO, AX Concept Development, Indonesian 737 Surveiller, and Boeing Flight Test. She has also served as the Boeing Defense, Space & Security Product Support Site Manager for Puget Sound and as the Product Support Business Partner for Airborne Battle Management, Defense & Government Services, and Training Systems. Ms. Valdez served in the US Navy in VQ-4 TACAMO at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland.

Ms. Valdez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Adelphi University and a Masters in Business Administration from City University of Seattle. She is a Fellow in the Royal Aeronautical Society and now serves as the Chairman of the Seattle Branch. The RAeS Seattle Branch was formed in 1999 and has a steadily growing membership and a strong annual lecture programme. The RAeS Seattle Branch premier annual event is the Black Tie Dinner Lecture named in honour of Joe Sutter, the renowned “Father of the 747″, and takes place in the Museum of Flight Great Gallery, in or around the third week in November. The Seattle Branch enjoys a close relationship with the Seattle Museum of Flight which is where all Branch lectures and events generally take place.
