The Rolls-Royce Women’s network is to host the 2012 Royal Aeronautical Society’s Women in Aviation and Aerospace Conference at its Bristol site – the first time this popular conference has gone out to the regions where a large number of aviation and aerospace businesses are based and the first time a Society conference is to be hosted by an aerospace company.
The event will take place on Friday November 2 to enable Jenny Body – who will be the Society’s first ever female President in 2013 – to open the conference in Rolls-Royce’s excellent conference facilities in its Sir Frank Whittle Building.
Keynote speaker for this ground-breaking conference will be Julie Southern, Chief Commercial Officer for Virgin Atlantic, one of the largest private companies in the UK. Julie is the senior executive responsible for Commercial Strategy, Fleet & Network Development, Revenue Management & Pricing, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources and Legal at the airline which employs approximately 9,000 people.
