Additional Speakers Confirmed for Flight Simulation and Rotorcraft Conference

The Rotorcraft and Flight Simulation committees are pleased to announce additional confirmed speakers for the joint conference in May where the Flight Simulation and Rotorcraft communities will come together to map out the way ahead for civil and military helicopter mission training.

With the Conference only a month away the Rotorcraft and Flight Simulation Committees are pleased to announce two more confirmed speakers in the ‘The User View & International Perspectives‘ section of the programme. Thomas Gassman, ADAC HEMS Academy will be looking at the unique challenges facing HEMS operations and the role that flight simulation can play. Lt Col Tobias Schoenherr who is Head of Aviation School for the German Aviation School for Police Services in Germany will be presenting on special mission rehearsal in Police aviation training.

The final day will be opened with military mission training addresses from Sqn Ldr Sawbridge and Lt Col Christophe Hegele, from the RAF and Germany Army respectively.

Edwin A Link Lecture

In addition to a full conference programme, on the evening of the 30 May, Dick Eastment, Head of Mission Training, BAE Systems will be delivering the annual Edwin A Link Lecture. The Lecture is one of the Society’s ‘Named Lectures’, and was introduced to commemorate the legacy of Edwin A Link, and to celebrate the role and achievements of flight simulation in aviation training.
