Third time lucky

South Korea is to make a third attempt to launch a scientific satellite into orbit on 29 November from the Naro Space Centre.

The launch of the 100kg Korea Space Launch Vehicle-1 (KSLV-1) has been delayed from 26 October when engineers discovered a broken rubber seal connecting the launch pad with the first stage of the rocket. Two previous attempts to launch rockets in 2009 and 2010 both failed, the first failing to deploy a satellite and the second exploding after lift-off.
