Troubled Australian flag carrier Qantas Airways has cancelled orders for 35 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, worth some $8.5bn, alongside reporting a loss of $256m.
However, the carrier has retained its order for 15 787-8s to Jetstar and has brought forward existing options and purchase rights for 50 787-9s by two years to 2016.
