Singapore Airlines’ regional subsidiary Silk Air has signed a letter of intent to purchase up to 68 new Boeing 737 aircraft.
Representing what would be the largest order in the airline’s history, the deal would comprise 54 firm orders (23 737-800s and 31 737 MAX 8s) plus purchase rights for a further 14. Firm order aircraft are valued at $4.9bn. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2014 through 2021.
