Asiana Airlines has been reported to South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs upon discovery that it operated non-ETOPS certified aircraft across the Philippine Sea.
The uncertified aircraft were utilised on eight occasions between 11 and 21 January 2012. The Ministry will hold two committee meetings to determine any administrative measures to be taken against the airline as a result of the non-compliance.
