Saab is reported to be considering re-entering the civil aircraft manufacturing market with a new regional turboprop.
The Swedish manufacturer has entered negotiations with a number of suppliers, including engine manufacturers GE and Pratt & Whitney. Saab ceased production of its 50-seat Saab 2000 turboprop in 1997.
